Whimsical why not?

Whimsical why not?

I CONNECT well with whimsical art. It must have manifested from my “other self”, suppressed by a lifetime of serious work and other pressing commitments. True, an innate form of playfulness had been in me all the time but it took the depressing depths of Covid to push mine to the fore.

More important than everything else, I enjoy the artform. Last year, in between other spurts of activity, I painted eight small pieces and a bigger “fun” piece (38in x 38in). I didn't know how to progress from there. I call them “conversations” because if you looked carefully there are figures talking in the background.

I have decided to take it further, perhaps create pieces that are 5ft x 4ft or more.
